Solano Fire Safe Council (SFSC) was formed in 2022 as a collaboration between Solano County, fire safe councils, CAL FIRE, local government, community members, water districts, non-profit organizations, industry, and the Solano Resource Conservation District (RCD).
Creating and maintaining defensible space around your home and outbuildings, before fire-prone summer months, is imperative in avoiding major damages to your property when wildfire strikes. Evacuating because of a fire can be a stressful experience, but if you already have a plan of what you want to take with you, you can save yourself a lot of stress in the days that follow.
The Solano Fire Safe Council provides a forum for collaboration around wildfire resilience issues. Our partners are developing a number of programs to help county residents proactively protect their homes and property against the threat of wildfire, and to recover from previous fires.
