The Solano Fire Safe Council is comprised of representatives from organizations, entities, and groups within our county.
Newly formed Fire Safe Councils will be granted one seat by revision of the Bylaws to formalize their inclusion on the Council. Fire Safe Councils must remain in good standing and hold regular meetings within their respective communities.
Any organization, entity, or group (OEG) not listed above may apply for a voting membership seat on the Council by submitting a request to the Executive Committee for consideration, provided they meet the following criteria:
- The OEG must have at least 10 members or have been in existence and active in Solano County for at least one year; or must be a local Fire Safe Council, Prescribed Burn Association, or other similar fire-related community group.
- The OEG must have a mailing address, and/or own or manage property, in Solano County, or have a clearly demonstrable vested interest in Solano County.
- The OEG must be supportive of the Council’s Purpose and Mission as stated in these bylaws.
- The OEG must not be a for-profit OEG.
